Gabriel Agbonlahor The former Aston Villa striker considers Kai Havertz too fragile to settle in as a center forward at Chelsea.
The Germany international has scored just six goals in 29 games ufabet in all competitions for the Blues this season amid a disappointing performance for the club. which in view of Agbonlahor said Havertz was not suitable as a center forward for the team.
“Chelsea lack a decisive striker,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT. “Put Harry Kane in that team, put Haaland in that team. And then imagine the chances of them scoring goals.
“For me, Havertz was too fragile, he was tall but couldn’t keep the ball. He’s not a No. 9 striker, he’s more of a No. 10 player.
“But they will get Christopher Nkunku who will join in the summer.”
Agbonlahor has been unimpress with Havertz and feels Graham Potter’s side would benefit from playing. With with an ‘out-an-out’ striker, saying someone like Tottenham’s Kane or Manchester City’s Haaland would be a better fit for Chelsea.
The Blues do have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the ranks. But he appears to be frozen out after being left out of Chelsea’s Champions League squad. And despite his desire to stay and fight for his place. He has been linked with a move away.
Kane has scored 17 goals across 23 games for Spurs this season. While Haaland has registered 25 in 20 for City and Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: ‘[Chelsea are] missing a ruthless striker.
